The word Rustic evokes the image of strong and hearty personality. This applies to home furnishing and furniture as well. One can find rustic furnishings in a country house, a hunting lodge or cabin in the woods.

This is mainly handmade from authentic materials such as wood, cane, or wrought iron. furniture is heavy, sturdy and solid. Genuine rustic is expensive because of high prices for materials such as hard wood, plush cushioning and wrought iron.

Although furniture usually found in country houses or in the woods, some people consider them fashionable even for their home town, because they give the country atmosphere, a much-needed relief from the hustle and bustle of city life.

But it’s hard to find rustic in large cities, where many companies have started manufacturing furniture that resembles genuine furniture. The pseudo-rustic is often made from pressed wood and hard plastic.

Because of high prices, many people prefer such furniture that is rustic look, although it is not as strong as genuine rustic furniture made of solid wood and iron.

Because of its rugged, hand-style, rustic furniture gives a warm and comfortable feeling, even in urban housing. You can make an attractive bedroom set, with solid pine bed frame and chest of drawers that established it.

In addition, the heavy wooden rocker with a country style-cushion can enliven any room. Even the bathroom can be decorated with wrought iron frame mirror, oak vanity set and the curtain with rustic themes.

Comfort is important for rustic furniture and you’ll find that once you start using it. You can also find small furniture manufacturers who will customize the product according to your needs or design based on your selection, measurement, and preferences of the type of wood. You can get a truly unique product that really is you, and if the budget is not a serious problem for you to fly home to be tailored to your needs and tastes in mind.

You can add a few pieces here and there, or even choose to decorate a room or two with the village theme. Since the rustic look combines the beauty of the wood, we can distinguish many details, such as mirrors, bookcases and tables with rustic charm and grace, just by adding accessories such as flowers, branches and other natural elements.

There is a misconception that rustic furniture belongs outdoors. That may be true a hundred years ago, but it is part of the country moved from the backyard into the living room and even bedroom. In addition to bringing people back to nature, it is fully functional.

About the Author

During the summer of 1997 Robert Evina, Woodland Creek’s founder, traveled extensively through remote villages in Russia, Ukrainia, Romania, and Hungary.
